I have no doubt it's getting worse, and I expect places like Whistler to be future targets. I’ve always loved driving from Bellevue to Banff—it’s such a better drive through BC, and returning via Idaho makes for a majestic journey.I worry about weather changes and how they might affect the Seattle area if a drought were to occur. I used to live in a wilderness right in the city, surrounded by huge trees.

I think you mean "recent" history. You might even say 'since the last ice age' (if you had records that far back). Or are you just counting from when BC was stolen from indigenous tribes and renamed?
