Glen, With the upset of Glaxo merger talks, it could put a negative damper on the whole sector in the short term. Everything else still looks good, so if MRK drops a little should make a nice buying opportunity. Also boards don't generally like official news that they are going to announce a split with the date, thus they could delay the split announcement. Just my thoughts.

Glen, Just looked, whole sector has pulled back slightly. GLX 12.8%,
SBH 10%, PFE 2.8%, AHP .07%, SGP 1.56%, MRK 1.24%. I thought this might happen. Have to wait for the close, but I wouldn't expect too much of a drop for MRK.
