All true. The Dems are in a terrible shape - they’re a lot worse off than the Republicans, who are also plenty confused and divided. Altogether, the political climate is probably reminiscent of the late Roman Republic, around the time when they were ready for Julius Caesar.

But, I think that the New Revolutionary Party of the Aggrieved - while it overlaps, of course, with the Dem party, especially its Left wing - has no intention of become subsumed by the Dem party Establishment. They see themselves as the future - even as the global future. Things like Great Awokening and Intersectionality are only individual strategies, means of recruiting into their movement. So is the current wave of anti-Israeli sentiment.

There are reasons why Communism - an obviously unrealistic theory - refuses to die. It’s a great dream - and people love to have dreams, they give meaning to their lives. The fact that it’s all unrealistic BS - and failed many times - means nothing. People still must dream - and are willing to believe in better execution next time.
