There are a lot of Americans who come from Christian backgrounds who consider themselves to be spiritual and not Christian. And I mean a lot, a good 1/3 to 40% of the population. They are not biblically oriented and don't attend Sunday services.

I identify very much with this group and have befriended many of them. My best male friend is in this category.
