The Marines were not sent in because there were riots. They were sent in because there were demonstrations against Trump. As long as we have a Hitler wannabe in the White House, we will have demonstrations. You should be thankful for those who are demonstrating against him.

Rarebird, A lesson must be taught here so these riots never take place again. Again, you're not deporting 11M immigrants using quasi-police state methods without getting blowback. Doesn't matter how much you militarize domestic law enforcement. You'd have to get to China or RuZZia levels of police state enforcement before you can sufficiently quell unrest. Also keep in mind where these immigrants are coming from. What are you going to do, turn this nation into the same shithole that these immigrants came from? A better enforcement tactic would be to go after employers, but Trump doesn't think that's sexy. Instead, he enjoys having escalations that last more than four hours (h/t Desi Lydic). Tenchusatsu
