Cisco had helped seed them and just assumed that they would buy them out if the technology paid off.<<< Well not only is he a vegetable, he is close-minded and refuses to see anything except from one side, and that's CSCO's. That's the way I understand it as well...CSCC was assumed by most in the industry to most likely to be courted by CSCO (I believe CSCO invested upwards of $250M in CSCC as a startup). The latter was caught off guard by being beaten to the aquisition by ASND in a surprising turn of events, and then settled for second-best Stratacom. CSCO did manage to make a nice return on its investment in CSCC, if nothing else. As with the fox and the sour grapes, now CSCO claims they never wanted CSCC in the first place. Sore losers.
