OT: The science is indeed settled, until contradictory evidence comes along.

Bit as you know, I have said many times that I am willing to change my views if the evidence points that way, a practise I have been following for decades

This is the exact opposite of your position. You will never change your tune regardless of what the evidence says.

If you really don't believe in the scientific method and the conclusions it produces, stop being a hypocrite and renounce everything from your life that comes from the scientific method, like antibiotics and laptops and your job, etc. etc, etc.

You can't accept just part of what the scientific method reveals. It's all or nothing. Either you believe in science or you don't, and you have made it very clear that you don't, so it is time for you to live up to that.

The strength of the scientific method is that it is irrelevant whether you believe in it or not, it still produces truths, including truths that you don't want to hear.
