Tom, Thanks for the update. I saw on Yahoo thread that TTRIF Mgt. team was meeting with Mass. Dept. of Environmental Protection (DEP) yesterday instead of DEC (Devens Enterprise Commission?). The company said it expects to collect seven to eight tons of food waste a day from affiliated food processors and deliver it to a feed plant operated by Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co. Also the company plans to set up recycling systems where it has high concentrations of outlets. The story above is the end result of Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co.'s building a $10 million garbage treatment plant in Sapporo. Here's the link announcing plant construction: news.solidwaste.com TTRIF IR continues to include Mitsui (along w/the rest of the world) as potential JV partners. Here is probably why (my observations only- have NOT talked to TTRIF IR about Mitsui): With an ANNUAL design limit at 10,000 tons,that's only 27 tons/day average on a $10 million investment! How about Mutsui's claim as to "annually process some 10,000 tons of garbage, and produce some 5,500 POUNDS of by-product fertilizer." Hmmm...5,500 lbs equals 2.75 tons. So, 10,000 tons in yields 2.75 tons out. If memory serves, I believe 3rd generation 600 ton/day TMP has "6 tons in yields 1 ton out" ratio so that same 10,000 tons in WOULD YIELD 1,600 TONS OUT. Yeah, that's right...1,600 tons versus 2.75 tons! Obviously, Mitsui needs help! Wonder what kind of process they're using? Anyone know? Also, TO WHAT EXTENT CAN OTHERS such as Mutsui "DESIGN AROUND" OUR PATENTS in regard to the thermophyllic process and equipment specifications of a TMP. Definite competition for Thermo Agri...whenever that happens (not holding my breath). Once again, I guess the purpose of the post is to show that while TTRIF has a DEFINITE technological lead today, that could change tomorrow. Bet there isn't much $$ going into R&D right now since 3rd generation blueprints were completed. This is the REAL issue IMO (for both us and Trooper).
