Never tried Gatorade for sleep. Glad it works for you. I find eating cheese in the evening helps me sleep. I prefer a cheddar. It has a pretty decent amount of tryptophan and calcium.

As to your earlier question about supplements for prostate, I don't take any and haven't researched that issue in a long time, but I remember Saw Palmetto was always listed for prostate support.

Potassium is an essential electrolyte. It's fairly abundant in everyday natural fruits, veggies, meats, nuts, just about everything. I supplement with it anyway, because it it seems to help quite a bit with regulating my heart rhythms. In that respect it helps with nerves, for me.

I make my own electrolyte drink every morning. It's easy and saves big $$$ vs buying electrolyte drinks.

Here's the formula I use:

- I fill a Costco 40 oz TherrmoFlask with water.
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt for sodium
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda for sodium and pH regulation
- 1/4 teaspoon of potassium chloride
- 2 mg (the tiniest pinch) of boron

I haven't found a good source of magnesium for this drink, so I currently get my extra magnesium from a pill.

I buy the potassium in bulk. Same with the boron.

If you add up the cost of this vs the cost of bottled electrolyte drinks, it probably saves hundreds of dollars per year. Let's say a bottle of Gatorade costs a dollar. A bottle a day is $365/yr. My homemade drink is probably less than $10/year.
