By moving the protons and electrons one at a time. Probably do it for less than one cent an atom. How many atoms to an ounce, 29400?

I do think it will be done effectively but I think we are a long way away from that but it does bring up an interesting thought, what will be the real money of the future? Maybe energy. I better start saving my amps.

X; I don't know the process..but I do know they are working on
it , when I saw that first micro wave, I had no real idea of
what made it tick either. If they succeed with this gold making
we won't really know about it till they get their ducks lined up.
-------------------
What I wonder about is will they be able to get the patent rights,
and exclude competition, bet that's a bigger problem for them
than actually making it. I've heard it's already been done but
not cheap enough yet.
---------------------
I do know for a fact that Dow Chemical can extract it from
ordinary sea water, but that for the time being is too costly,
however if energy costs come down it may in time prove to be
cheaper than mining it.
--------------------
We already produce specialty metals that are not natural to nature,
and were used back in the 60ts in the first of the Blackbirds,
which by the way still holds the speed records.
The first time I saw
three of them in flight was about 68..I thought for sure they
were UFOs , nothing could be flying that fast and they were
also so high that at 3:30AM they were up in the sunlight,
For 5 years most every one thought I had hallucinations.
But every one on my boat saw them..( two others beside myself)
and we were accused of making up the story.
Damm they were faasst, and so high there was no sonic boom,
and thats what puzzled me the most, and caused me to think they
had to be UFOs. AT the time the Government was not talking about
them.
-----------------------
Yes we will make GOLD, probable already have.
Other things I believe exist that we don't "KNOW" about are
human clones. I think them making the sheep thingy public
was just to test the waters and see how it would be accepted
by the public..years from now you will likely find there
were human clones produced in secret long before the public
was informed.
------------------------
About Gold You sure don't expect some Government to say hey we can
make GOLD for $2 an ounce while they still have any do you ?
-------------------------
I said to my self 30 years ago that very few old ideas were going to
work in this new world..no one was thinking of fiber optic cable
at the time..at least the general public wasn't. And what about
the first crude laser beam not long ago ,look were that has gone, you even have one in your CD now.
---------------------------
Have you heard of the HERF gun ? ( high energy radio frequency )
It's used like a radar racon, and can take out any radar that
hits it, by sending back beamed super dupper high energy pluses
that will melt the the TR switch in any radar. You can bet we
used them in the Gulf war. They would turn on the radars and
if it so much as touched an aircraft with a HERF installed
it was dead..but we let the public think smart bombs did it all.
But I can't prove any of that, heck if I could I know I
wouldn't be talking about it. <G>
---------------------
The scary thing about the HERF gun is that even a dumb butt like
me knows how to make one, and the parts are easy to come by.
And it can clean a computers hard drive or a set of tapes
from a very discreet distance. I have no real idea of how
much harm one can do if focused on a persons head, but I tend
to think it is a very serious and potentially a very deadly
type of weapon, reasonable cheap to make, and delivers super
energy bursts silent and invisible.
Technology brings with it a power to destroy as well as create.
---------------------------
There is a big problem that in out lawing them, you also tell every
one how to make one, and the law won't stop the outlaws from
having them. So you won't find many details on them, and I for
sure will never post a set of plans. That would be totally insane,
and could also bring down a bunch of heat ( rightly so too )
In this new age Gold will offer one very little security, in
fact people are and have never been any more secure than their
closest friend.
Let me ask you, if you could make gold..would you tell the world
about it, or would u just make it and discreetly sell it while
you could still get a big profit on it ?
I don't expect the ones who can really do it to draw us any
plans or even explaine the prosess. BTW there is more Silver in
the world than Buffet knows about. I expect this to be the last
flash in the pan on silver, most of the applications that used
a lot of silver in the past are fast being replaced. Even Xrays
are going digital now.

X:

I have heard that when U235 degrades in an atomic bomb that the biproduct is lead; so I would say that it is possible; so is atomic fusion but you hear very little about that process becoming commercially viable in our lifetimes.

The atoms of heavy metals are so locked in that IMO it is going to take a lot more cost in the way of energy to unlock the nucleus of the gold molecule than it will ever take to mine the stuff. gregor
