Months ago I thought that but for how it's gone so far am now unsure. Purportedly Iran still has the means to at last threaten or even physically harm oil tankers and other cargo ships navigating that strait in the short term. But how many of those tankers are headed to China or potential allies or those that would look the other way but need that oil? That's possibly an endgame move now and not a show of strength, quite the opposite. Just my guess, situations can be fast and volatile.
