It’s possible we could get involved. But we are not at this moment involved,” Trump told ABC’s Rachel Scott. When asked if there’s a deadline for Iran to come to the table, the president said “no,” according to Scott. “No, there’s no deadline, but they are talking. They’d like to make a deal. They’re talking. They continue to talk,” Trump said. The next round of US-Iran nuclear negotiations, scheduled to take place in Oman on Sunday, was canceled. But Trump said the Iranians “want to talk, and they will be talking,” adding that the recent escalations “may have forced a deal to go quicker, actually.” Trump also expressed a willingness to consider Russian President Vladimir Putin as a potential mediator in the conflict, noting that Putin had reached out to him. “He is ready.
