You shouldn't have to explain anything.
The trump haters just want to hate.
In the end they are losers.

Trump's making some good moves.

Fringe lunatics like Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Cato Institute and our own Golfer, think Israel should not be protected and defended by the USA. May I ask why not? If we believed in the Christian Savior Jesus, would Israeli American Jews qualify for protection and defense?

700K Americans live in Israel whereas Wyoming and Vermont each have much less than that and the government would have no hesitation protecting those two States from foreign attack.

Sadly enough, the reason why many oppose support for Israel is based on antisemitism and hatred for Jews.

Rarebird, I'm only going to focus on two issues, namely deportations and Israel's "special military operation."

Deportations

Yes, I'm against the way Trump is executing his deportation agenda, because he makes NO DISTINCTIONS between "terrorists and criminals" and the rest of the immigrants, legal or "undocumented."

Did you hear that? NO DISTINCTION WHATSOEVER.

You pretend that you care about that distinction, but there is more than enough evidence that Trump and his bald Goebbels does not.

I have tried to point that out to you numerous times, but you continue to ignore it.

Israel's "special military operation"

Yes, you are correct. I still believe it's a fool's errand to instigate "regime change" from the air alone.

As for whether Israel's "special military operation" is succeeding in that aspect, I'll wait until I actually see the Iranian people rise up en masse and topple their fundamentalist regime. Given the current environment, which is rife with misinformation, it's hard to jump to conclusions based on a few isolated videos appearing on social media.

If regime change actually occurs, I will be pleasantly surprised. But right now, I have no reason to believe it's likely. All I see is Netanyahu starting a two-front war with no end in sight. As good as Israel is in punching above their weight, I have serious doubts that the guy can pull it off.

Moreover, I have serious doubts that the Trump regime is competent enough to support Netanyahu in the right way. I share your sentiment that the Iranian regime has to go, but after our failures in Iraq and Afghanistan, I'm really hesitant in endorsing yet another attempt on our part to remake the Middle East in our image.

Especially coming from the Orange fool who campaigned on the promise of "no new wars."

Just for you, Rarebird:

Israel wants regime change in Iran, Trump is unconvinced (Axios)

A senior administration official summed up the thinking: "It's the Ayatollah you know versus the Ayatollah you don't know."

Just for you, Rarebird ...

Israel 'undermined Trump's position' as Netanyahu signals country is 'losing' to Iran (The Mirror)

I'm not posting this (just) to troll you, even though sometimes you deserve it.

Instead, I'm posting this as an example of how the media is posting a wide variety of narratives.

Some say that Israel is winning and that Iran is on the verge of capitulation.

Others say that Israel is losing because (a) some missiles got through the Iron Dome, and (b) Israel failed to completely destroy Iran's nuclear program.

It all depends on the source and the target audience. You can imagine there are many people who want to believe Israel is winning, like you.

You can also imagine there are many people, like MTG the Queen of White Trash, who want Israel to lose. That would put Marge on the same side of the conflict as Ilhan Omar, which would be the strangest of bedfellows.

The media almost always caters to their base and what they want to see. All for clicks. All for ads. Accuracy matters less than engagement.

So you'll pardon me if I don't immediately acknowledge your claims that Iran is about to surrender, right?
