Update, spoke with the coconut this day. She shall visit HK in September to pitch for 8-35k grants and investments for her and her friend's first short film meant for submittal to festivals and such. She shall be the script writer and co-producer and her friend shall be director and co-producer. The difference in the sum required is she trying to get support people correctly paid, she said. She lined up appointments and is now, besides doing research financed by two grants, writing short pieces, scripts and such, pitching for and performing as standup comic, working on a book, and and per 'lots of irons in the fire', also location scoping, and lining up filming crew, camera rental, etc etc. I offered her a big present and she said the thing does not fit her gig life, would be a burden, so prefer I invest the equivalent sum into silver, so I shall, splitting sum between the metal and mines.
