Give the farm workers temporary work permits when they're needed and then they can return home afterwards. A win/win solution to the problem..

BTW, Rainier cherries are the sweetest and best, IMO..

Where I grew up on Vashon we had one Bing cherry tree. My brother and I would gorge out on them.

But the stains on our clothes drove our mother nuts.

Then a few weeks later we would watch birds literally get drunk on them.

Couldn't fly and would fall out of the tree.

So much sugar that they would produce alcohol when they began to rot.
