If there was a buy recommendation on CNBC yesterday then that would be enough to account for the big move today. Also, I was tinkering with some technical analysis last week, and the HUMCF price chart was scraping the bottom of it's Bollinger Bands and at the same time the MACD (moving average convergence divergence) indicator went positive. To some analysts this is a buy signal. Since this is the first time I have looked at TA I can't expand on the significance of this analysis any further other than to say that the MACD indicator seems to have some relationship to price movements if viewed over about a two year period.
