Whew....I spent some time in Houston...wow that humidity...
(but to tell you the truth...southern illinois is just as bad)
never forget my first hurricane......water up to 1/2 the height of a car...

and I spent part of that night in my bathtub....but then I am from the midwest..and that is what you do for tornadoes...

Rubin speaking about Asian problems is what caused our little sell off this afternoon according to a trader on CNBC

Rich:

--->I have an invitation in April to visit some friends in Austin. I do get jealous hearing about their boating and water skiing outings in January. Is that near your neck of the woods?

They are probably stretching the truth some (but not a lot )about the water skiing in Jan---tho, they could be wearing wet suits....ggg

No, Austin is about 325 miles to my south, but I have a son who lives there and my wife is there a bunch on school business so I get there ten times or so a year.
Very pretty town, with lots of live oaks and gentle hills and friendly folks.

My youngest daughter , and the niece who is moving to Boston, both were graduated from U of Texas there.

With the market closing down and the movement today, it appears that the smiling duck will have it's work cut out tomorrow....ggg
