People who put sweeteners in cold tea simply don't like the flavor of tea.

They're just people who want a different flavor of lemonade, or perhaps a matcha soft-serv ice ceam cone.

God knows Japan is now over-run with an infinite variety of sweets flavored with macha tea powder, red bean paste like Anko, Yokan or Dorayaki.- or even seaweed sweets like Kombu-ame.

Thankfully they use red bean powder to flavor fish sweets rather than actual fish.
