Rocky, I wanted this as a direct response to you: ESTIMATES RAISED today on IOM. I do not have details...my broker at Dean Witter told me this, and he did not have any more info.

Unsolved Mysteries Update: not showing anything though on First Call...He said that his news blip showed a First call revision at 2:42...obviously wrong. He called the company, they have no knowledge of any FC change.

Probably the selling is out for now....

Linda

Rocky,

I am always amazed that you really don't get it.

IOM is not going back to 6 1/2, just like SYQT is not going to go forward to 6 1/2.

The the value of IOM, to date, has been for the most part based upon what the marketplace perceives, not about actual "nit-picking" details of the company, the technology, the courts, etc.. You see all IOM has to do is win the battle of perception. That doesn't mean that they need to have the best, fastest or cheapest product on the street, just the one that people want to buy. I think that is what makes this stock so difficult to call for traders, the "rules" don't usually apply here.

Signs of late (the subtle events, the behavior of the stock) suggest to me that the worst is past, for now and the stock will gradually work its' way up. The bear's FUD machine just hasn't gotten the job done this time.

Still a "global" believer,

Well folks, FWIW, today I dumped my entire long position in IOM. I'm discouraged and have taken a HUGE now-on-the-books loss with this puppy. Overall Iomega has been very good to me, however, recently we've been smacked pretty hard and I think that there will be plenty of time to re-establish a long position in the months ahead. I'm switching to a trading strategy now and will play this one both ways.
