Eric,
I'm just surprised how poor Iran's air defense system turned out to be.
Iran was already known to be using RuZZian S-300 air defense systems.

It was never confirmed, but many people assumed Iran was also using RuZZia's more modern S-400 systems as well, despite Iran's denials as late as Nov. of 2024.

Right now, it's in Iran's best interest to continue denying that they ever deployed the S-400. This is for obvious reasons, but one reason that isn't so obvious is the cost. Each S-400 system is about $500M-$1B, which is comparable to the cost of a Patriot system.
