Philips, Audiovox and other swarms of handsets are now available. This is good for Qualcomm! They get royalties on ALL cdmaOne sales.

Do you think that QCOM is attractive based on its royalty stream alone. What will be the impact of all these new competitors using their own ASICs, Samsung also switching to its own ASIC and QCOM's phone market share dropping into single digits.

Maurice, well the testosterone is flowing on the old Q thread today! Happy posters everywhere--even green-eye shades Ramsey is starting to sound a little weak in the knees for holding back waiting for the price collapse. Guy's so damn stubborn he's even willing to go on vacation to get a bargain price on the Mighty Q--just hope it gets down to 43 and his ISP connection from China gets choked on a rice paddy. Meanwhile the pooch is sounding like a pup again as his beloved Rotomola has stepped on its yang. Jim Frost has lost all pretense of objectivity, brian h is pumped to new heights, Tim A. on a roll, Caxton's winging them from left field, Valueman and Gregg still can't figure out what G* is worth but I love it when they talk dirty in the tens of millions, while Tero, Tora, Tora and the chuckster seem strangely silent. heh, heh, heh
But YOU my friend--once again have launched in to new celestial heights. Was it the Lucent announcement or the Sony/Anita[tm]? Does anybody on earth have a clue what the gizmo is? Can it be priced to the milisecond. Is the Q a ten bagger? What are Hewlett Packard and Cisco doing with our guys? (god I love it when the Q can cozy up to those dudes!)
Next year at Jasmine with the Q at 102. Lock and load. Mike Doyle
