I read that. I can't argue with his observations and conclusions. He makes a good case.

While Elon has had moments of childish behavior, the kids trapped in that cave comes to mind, until the pandemic it wasn't in your face. He was obviously really afraid COVID was going to shut Tesla down. And that shut down could or would be fatal. How realistic that was, I have no idea. But denial is never a great way to face a challenge. As that article details, that is exactly how Musk responded.

It is like he never had to deal with factors beyond his control. The hyper-focus, head down and power through the issues doesn't really work for certain classes of problems. Tenacity will only get you so far. And so on.

His need to be the ultra-macho 1337 gamer god persona didn't help. Who ever is coaching him how to act spontaneously enthusiastic needs to be fired. No matter how talented the coach is, Elon needs someone better. Given the things he verifiably does, he has got to be abusing stimulants. Most of which greatly increase your risk of psychosis when combined with ketamine.
