Communism failed Has it even been tried? One can point to the Soviet Union as an attempt, but it never got off the ground as the Germans were slamming Russia and then the Whites, with US and other European powers did their best to undermine it. Ever read amazon.com especially chapters 3, 4, and 6. We should have such a government. Other countries pretending to be Communist, Marx wouldn't have recognized whatever ideology they pretend to. Maybe we apes with over-evolved cerebrums aren't ready/fit for it; the best we can manage is a socialism/capitalism hybrid in a few countries. Capitalism failed Religion failed. Neither has failed. Not yet. But they're getting to be weirder and weirder manifestations of themselves. Hippy culture failed We were only a tiny minority. In the 70's, people grew facial hair, fucked, smoked/snorted, and got waterbeds. And then voted for reptilicans. breaking laws became normalized The apes have anarchistic tendencies. Some intellectualize it as libertarianism. And we're too primitive and resource constrained to stop worrying about the slackers getting more than they deserve while we grab more than we need.
