While you might be right about ATHM being a good short for business reasons, don't underestimate the utility/popularity of cable modems.

My BTIM/Hextend controversy page (http://btim.dyn.ml.org) runs on a Linux 75 MHz Pentium with a RoadRunner (TCI) cable modem connection.

I don't know if anyone is profiting off my $40/mo. I suspect that everyone involved is still losing money, and that competition will increase via xDSL and the consumer is very price sensitive. I agree that a $3B market cap out of the gates sounds overvalued and ready for a fall. But of course there's YHOO ...
