Linkedin posts, Facebook comments are like It = supportive, flattering, agreeable. China isn't returning, it's just that VVVs have been reinstated somewhat. They tried Mao's commie totalitarianism and found that mass death, poverty and communal open trench toilets aren't much fun. Especially in winter. Now it's less commie but still authoritarian. USA and Eurostan have taken over where Mao stopped, with the new mayor of New York going full Marxist and Islamic invasion conquering the infidels who welcome them in. Troy was conquered like that ... With a Trojan horse = looked like a nice visitor until the soldiers appeared inside the walls. China lacks degrees of freedom. Human DNA succeeded by trying everything. China bans and kills individuals who get uppity and behave like Galileo and Socrates ... Saying unapproved things. Even Hu Jintao was frog marched out of the big meeting. He seemed to disapprove of the paperwork he'd been given or not given. How far USA and Eurostan will go down the gurgler remains to be seen. The Roman empire never came back. USA is merely 4% of the world so if they stop doing what made them the best country in the world (which they have stopped doing to a large extent), there might be a collapse to irrelevance. Same for Eurostan after two centuries of glory. The countries that maximize individuals will continue to be the most successful. China's suppressive system treats individuals like serfs. A moderate version of North Korea. USA tends to establish world records in all spheres, good and bad. They are positioned to have a world record collapse. Hopefully Donald Trump can reverse the incoming calamitously catastrophic cataclysm but his buddy Elon says the Big Bad Bill, like Build Back Better will accelerate USA and world into the black hole. Such bank runs and implosion can happen in hours. The very integrated global supply systems will collapse as fast. Given the potential for desperate conflict, both international and civil, those supply systems might be destroyed, in a ruinous feedback loop. Mqurice
