Commodity update June 27 2025 Natural gas showing a divergence. A cross of the 150 day SMA from below indicates and trend change to the positive. A negative longer term trend in the OBV indicates traders have been net sellers the last few months. A recession being priced in despite the hype around energy demand from AI data centres??? Copper rallying into the 52 week high on only average volume. Trader cautious on this run. An improvement in the economy is being priced in?? Wood still in a down trend but the cross of the 50 day SMA from below indicate the start of a potential trend change. It would indicate housing is starting to stablize at least???? Platinum still benefitting from the diversification trade out of gold and the USD. Energy back the bottom of the sideways channel of the last year. Watch to see if it breaks out and potentially heads to the top of the channel or breaks below to test the 52 week low. Gold still waiting new the highs, but currently testing the first support level within a short term sideways channel. Gold needs a catalyst to move it higher. Traders have been looking at silver and platinum as an alternative. Silver short term topping for now. It came too far too fast. It needs time to get more true believers into the trade, Overall it is mixed bag of reading so it there is not defined trend in the markets about the economy.
