Elon whining about pork while building an empire on EV credits and government contracts is a bit much to take. His main complaint seems to be the increased debt ceiling he tried to deal with at DOGE, but he's also stated that the bill is bad for battery and solar manufacturing. This is a big priority? Instead of EVs, he's now focused on converting our electric grid to solar and battery backup? Is that going to be his next business start-up? America is extremely vulnerable due to inadequate solar power? Come on, man.

Trump is attacking degradation in a completely different way - tariff revenues, increased manufacturing incentives, wage growth, inflation reduction, and interest rate reduction and corresponding transfers to investment capital if he can get the Fed to wake up.

Sure, the electric grid needs upgrades, but think of all the upgrades it would need if gas cars suddenly became illegal. Trump is right to hit back. Elon is drunk on green KoolAid and visions of his AI / EV human/robotic power-hungry future. I like it if it's voluntary, fun, and helpful. It's not my priority in terms of quality of life.

Reminder for Elon - dead batteries are considered Hazardous Waste and they're cutting down awesome forests in Germany to put up solar panels.
