Time will tell. :-) In terms of higher end luxury, Mainland China has been in a consumer recession for several years and that's been a drag on many brands. In the USA there was actually big pull forward in demand the other month in new, grey market, and used timepieces to get ahead of any tariff chaos. Will wait and see where the final numbers settle in terms of tariff rates.

During COVID watches and other luxury good went on a mini-bubble that has finally corrected the past two years. It wasn't that the rare and special items appreciated so much but that pedestrian items did, and it made no sense. Also in the past 5-10 years there's a been a rise of smaller independents and micro-brands that often have DTC business models and offer compelling value for the price although longer term collectibility remains unknown. Nevertheless, I've had good fun buying several timepieces from these smaller brands and often feels bespoke, many times when I ask questions the principals themselves will email or call me back directly.

Think you mentioned the PP watch to me a long time ago but forget exactly. Will PM sometime but if it's what I think it is that model is in a sweet spot, imo, even if this current watch market correction persists.

This is a fine book you might want to order to pair with your watch!
