Dear John,

Sorry I didn't reference my sources. According to Zacks,
which is updated weekly, the total capitalization of DISH
was 286 Million before Monday morning. That's a tiny
fraction of the value of multi-Billion dollar SKY of
England. The timing looks right to me here, with a
National U.S. Footprint at the dawn of high-definition
television. DISH appears to be eating Primestar's lunch
at this point, and the Captain of this Ship is Valhalla-
competitive. 286 Million is small change in the (American)
media industry.

According to Zacks, the capitalization of Echostar
is (as of Mon. morning) 340 M. Dollars. Apparently,
there are 14.7 M. A shares. But there are also
29.8 M. B shares. They are not including the B shares
in their calculation. The fact that revenue was nearly
4X what it was for the same quarter in '97 is the reason
for the small celebration.
