No the executors did not screw up. There were four executors including myself. I sat with the account rep while on speakerphone with an investment rep. They had explicit instructions and they know they made a mistake. The representative is looking into it with his manager. So either they will repurchase the shares they sold or they won't. I'm assuming legal action might be necessary, I don't really know. His account has no room to make use of any losses.
