Me too. Places offering the J&J were scarce. Then we heard about a clinic offering the shot in an inner city neighborhood. The thinking was minorities could not be relied on to show up for the second shot, so they were doing the one shot. The offer was available to city residents only. We don’t live in the city but we went there anyway and got in line. Then the nurse running the clinic walks down the line reminding everyone the shot is for city residents only. We step out of line. My girlfriend is a retired nurse and she had a nurse to nurse talk with the woman. She said we could come back at the end of the day and if there were any shots left we could get one, that’s what we did. If it wasn’t for that stupid vacation I wouldn’t have gone through the trouble.
