THE UNIVERSE IS TOO SLOW FOR THIS MACHINE: PROOF OF A MULTIVERSE….
Been reading Michael Crichton's book Timeline that touches on this - written in 1999. Hugh Everett III would be saying "It doesn't matter if you believe it. It's true."

Turns time into a multiplex of digital slices with the basic quanta being comprised of information, not particles. The information all exists simultaneously to create our perception of reality, based on all the things that happened or will happen or could happen, given our observations and choices, creating our perception of time. It's all there - everything, all at once - at least in Crichton's sci-fi novel version where they've figured out how to hop into different realities and back in a way that seems like time travel, with a bit of geographic travel thrown in.

Pretty fantastic and a little more fun to dig into than Epstein's misdeeds. Again though, it makes you wonder how much information is being withheld from the public.

Interesting to run into the term AGI twice tonight. Beyond AI.

"Experts say"

I'm sure they're top men.

Top.

Men.

I hate posts like this. People who truly have no understanding of physics, or quantum mechanics seem to always wanna comment some outrageous shit about something they've no comprehension. No actual expert would say it computed between parallel realities.

Pure bullshit.

Of course, keep an open mind:

If Google’s tapping into the multiverse, I hope one of those realities has lower taxes, secure borders, and honest politicians.

Yes that is the whole basis of quantum computing. Superposition allows the computation of every known outcome at once.

Just like newbies think AI is a conscious entity, so do the newbs who think quantum computing is somehow linking into the multiverse.

DYOR, but I appreciate quantum mechanics is a difficult topic to grasp.

Quantum computers are excellent for a very specific class of problems that are very difficult for CPUs. However you can’t extrapolate the impressive numbers to everything that traditional CPUs do well.
