C&L Communications Orders Over $500,000 of FRAD and Router
Products from FastComm

SAN ANTONIO, Texas and STERLING, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 1998--

Product Shipments Made During January -- FastComm's Third Fiscal Quarter

C&L Communications and FastComm Communications Corp. today announced the purchase and shipment of more than
$500,000 of FastComm's industry leading Frame Relay Access Devices (FRADs) and WEB.router(tm) Internet/Intranet
access products during FastComm's third fiscal quarter, this January. C&L Communications, headquartered in San Antonio,
Texas, is a nationwide distributor of FastComm networking products.

A large portion of this re-stocking order is comprised of FastComm's T1/Fractional T1 equipped EtherFRAD(tm) and
WEB.router(tm) products, driven by C&L's market demand. FastComm pioneered integration of SNMP manageable
DSU/CSUs into advanced network access products, combining the benefits of a "single box" solution with the best
price/performance in the industry.

FastComm's T1/FT1 equipped FRADs and routers come with the company's innovative FastCONNECT automatic Frame
Relay installation, which has been upgraded to self-configure the T1/FT1 line--detecting which DS0s (contiguous or
non-contiguous) are active and bringing up the T-span automatically.

"I'm very pleased to announce this order from C&L, an established telecommunications distributor and FastComm Partner,"
stated Peter Madsen, FastComm President. "C&L's customers can benefit immediately from our integrated T1/FT1 capable
FRADs and routers, saving money and improving performance!"

"We at C&L are pleased with the direction taken by FastComm to provide the industry's most affordable high-speed digital
access products. FastComm has a proven network access product line that our customers are eager to deploy, to add value
and flexibility to their networks," stated Bill Cain, Vice President of Sales at C&L.

Dan, not to squirt too much rain on the parade, but half a million dollar orders from stocking distributors are nothing to write home about. When real users with real networks start buying FSCX products, the stock will come to life for real.
