Do not forget fundamental market effects like the movement of money by the mutuals which account for over something like 1.5 or 2 trillion dollars in the market. This is what I think Judy is referring to when she talks about the liquidity in the market which is the supply of funds that are moving into stocks. However, the rally recently has become rather anemic since it has been focused primarily on a limited number of stocks in the NASDAQ 100. Note that fewer stocks in the high-tech sector have been participating in each successive market rally. The *quality* of leadership appears to have been deteriorating. This may very well prove to be a short lived rally once the fund money has moved back into the market. But there can be substantial price increases before this happens, such as we have been witnessing with the NASDAQ 100. Do not forget about the foreign investor and there interest in our bonds and blue chip stocks which are a part of the DJIA.

Chris,

Let me know if the NAZ is going to pull back based on your charts..

Also, I bought that MRK call (Mar 135) I bet she rolls in the near term.

It seems to me that there has to be a reason for this talk about a correction.. It doesnt seem concrete to me. I was listening to these people talking gloom and doom and I thought that it was like Wag the Dog in real time.

What basis is there for this pullback that is new to the market?

I would like input...

Thanks!!

Market Assessment

Not good.

As the indexes below show, yesterday's tech strength wasn't maintained.
the highest sub-sector performance was in Luxury Goods, and that was
a lousy 2%. All sectors were negative.

With the exception of the dozen under $1 tickers in the microcap account,
I now only hold 8 stocks. Three of those I may exit tomorrow. However, I
would like o point out that the primary reason for being out is to have
cash available to pick up stocks that may just locally reverse. I do not want
people exiting their positions based on my or anyone's assessment. The
indicators I use, although fairly accurate differentiate more in terms of
market swings on 15 day and 30 week cycles. The 30 week indicators
have been known to lead the actual market by as little as a day and as
much as 10-12 days, and usually the later. I designed it that way to give
me time to exit. Having said that, the market still looks like a its started
the correction. Please set stops.

Additionally, the negative intraday range and collective drop of 5 of the 6 funds
listed below hasn't happened since last October. Individually, however, all
of these have generous 30 day gains of almost 10%, and we know none of them
would sustain that for the year (equates to 110+%).
