Where did you get your numbers? They are not rooted in reality. The background extinction rate over the past several million years is on the order of a couple per century per few thousand species. Since the numbers you pulled out of your ass have no context, they may or may not say anything. However, the extinction rates have been much higher than that historical rate for thousands of years. And that rate has been accelerating for decades. My assertions can be supported by a trivial search. Yours have zero support as near as I can tell unless you can scare up some links.
