I base my attitudes on climate change on decades of study following the developing science.

It is a feature of statistics that due to randomness, you will always find outliers. If you flip a coin a million times, you will get sequences of 10 heads in a row, but that does not undercut the randomness of flipping a coin.

I have indulged in many debates with the deniers of climate science over the years, and inevitably it turns out that they are doing the opposite of science, entering the debate with a fixed opinion which cannot be changed, and which leads them to ignore any scientific findings which do not support their ideology.

I would be very overjoyed if the scientific consensus -- not isolated findings -- indicated that climate change is not an issue and that most of it is not anthropogenic. In fact I would be ecstatic if a new scientific consensus developed, and would be happy to argue in favour of it based on the evidence.

Yes, I change my mind about issues and as science sheds new light.

How about you? What would it take to get you to change your mind? You are already ignoring decades of research and almost all legitimate climate scientists, so it is hard to imagine any evidence changing your mind, meaning that any attempt to engage with you is a waste of time.

Persuade me that you are taking into account the vast preponderance of scientific research and the scientific consensus around the issue in a meaningful way and perhaps then we can have a debate.

What was the last time you changed your mind on an important issue due to scientific evidence.? Or do you operate strictly on the basis of ideology?
