I see that the Cheeto wants the Fed to cut rates by 3 points based on the inflation report today! As inflation starts to perk up, the 10 year says otherwise:

The thing is, the inflation has been uneven. Some of it has been because in some product categories, manufacturers down to retailers raised prices preemptively. In others, there was a massive buy before the first round of tariffs, with a commensurate drop in imports right after. That stock is being depleted. The threat of the recent emphasis on deportations is starting to impact the agricultural sector, in addition to its usual buffeting. Extreme weather events are going to be a growing factor this year in ag, also.

And none of this prices in the growing chaos in the economy.
