Sure, probably a bluff. But things are getting bad in Russia. Putin is starting to drink the blood of the oligarchs. That can't end well. Russia is funding a wave of sabotage across the EU, but it also suffering its own wave. Someone is hitting Russia's shadow fleet that moves its oil and gas. Despite protecting those ships with military escorts, someone is managing to attach what are likely limpet mines while in what should be Russian-friendly ports. Soon after leaving port, they go bang! and glub, glub. Really impacts the cash flow, you know. I imagine their insurance costs must be brutal...

All this and the country is being run by the Jukes and the Kallikaks.

What could possibly go wrong?

The problem is that talk of nuclear war, from either Trump or Putin can easily get out of control.

They are both insane with huge egos, and insanity is not rational.

But as big an issue, IMO, is China. We cannot win a war against China. They have the ability to immediately knock out every aircraft carrier we have on the oceans, and overwhelm us with missiles.

So we need our allies more than ever, and Trump has pissed off every ally we have.

And he seems intent on destroying the world order which has kept the peace, more or less, for the last 80 years e.g. NATO and our western alliances.
