Wow, Paul :-) I'm glad I had a few sips of coffee before I read this post. Honestly, I don't use the horizontal count myself. <I am interpreting that he compares the horizontal count to the power keg and, the Vertical count would be the barrel. Correct?> That would make sense. When a stock trades sideways it builds up "pressure". You know what I think would be best. Instead of me trying to explain my answer in conjunction with Toms book why don't I ask Tom to explain. I will be more than happy to pass it along. Do you mind waiting a couple of days? I think if he wrote the answer using his own written words as reference it might make more sense. Do you agree? I'll send it off. Jan
