I haven't listened to that interview yet. It seems there are a lot of sickos in positions of power but objectively am not smart enough to say if that population is outsized compared to any general population. It's like the studies showing CEOs tend to have more sociopaths and surgeons tend to have more sadists. Maybe something conscious or subconscious attracts those groups to those positions. In the case of perverted sickos in positions of power, perhaps their status emboldens them to act out with perceived impunity compared to the hoi polloi?
