Ciao:

Well in my book someone hyping a stock is a "promoter", but, and I agree with you here, not all promoting is "hype".

I am attracted to MIO because of its professional and through approach to exploration (good management both Board & staff); the diversity of properties over several countries; good financing (at current stage).

Another good day for MIO !!! Tony must have some good contacts who are impressed by what he is presenting them. On the topic of promotion:
Promotion is looked at as being a dirty word by a lot of people
and if promotion is used to inflate the price of a stock based on fraudulent claims about some magic widget or a piece of moose pasture, then this attitude is justified. However promotion also has its positive aspects. Making people aware of a stock's positive aspects can cause a stock to rise dramatically if enough people decide the stock is a good buy at the same time. One of the first things that one has to learn and to remember, is that no matter how good or how valuable that property is out there, that without a good promoter and a good promotion, the development of the company and the development of the property will never take place. Good promotion results in the company being able to raise adequate financing in order that its piece of "moose pasture" has the hope of becoming something more than that. Without that promoter that property may never be worth a plug nickel and chances of the stock going up in price are virtually nil. Let's hope Tony keeps spreading the good word.
