We are both right.

Long term (several years) fundamentals dictate the value of any company.

Short term (intraday, daily, weekly even monthly) the other extraneous noises dictate the price of a stock (notice I say price here and value for long term above). And the louder the noise the more the effect it has on the stock. TA charts ALL these factors and 'predicts' the near term price action of a stock.

However, imo a respected analyst is an oxymoron.
