The disgraced cheerleader pleaded guilty in February to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in a bathroom at a cheer competition and paying another underaged child to send him sexually explicit photos and videos on Snapchat.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A former Democratic Arizona state senator has been sentenced to one year for sexually abusing a child

Former state Sen. Tony Navarrete, D-Phoenix, faced numerous sex charges involving a minor, but was only found guilty on one count.(Arizona State Legislature)Sen. Otoniel “Tony” Navarrete was sentenced on Friday after a jury delivered a split verdict in February in his child molestation case.

During sentencing, a Maricopa County Superior Court judge ordered one year in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release for his single count of child sex crime. He is also now required to register as a sex offender.

Former Democratic lawmaker from Nashua charged with sexual exploitation of children

A former New Hampshire state lawmaker and the one-time partner of a woman charged with taking sexually explicit photos of children at the Massachusetts day care center where she worked has also been charged in the case, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.

Stacie Marie Laughton, 39, of Nashua, New Hampshire, is charged with aiding and abetting the sexual exploitation of children, the U.S. attorney's office in Boston said in a statement.
