Exactly! Traditionally, Canadians have been willing to put up with a lot more than their U.S. counterparts before hitting the breaking point and ordering a class action suit. It leads to a more forgiving business environment, but also increases the chance of the investors being short-changed. I don't know if the decision to stuff the channel was consciously meant to deceive investors, or just a gamble to aggressively compete with Microsoft. After all, had WP sold successfully, they would have been able to cover their position in time.
