Another factor to note for chat schedule: According to website hit statistics, Thursday is the most popular day for people to dial in. Also, the period from 10am to 1pm is when most people hit the site.

To show you the global reach of the Idea thread, we have now had visitors from the following places: Canada, France, Malaysia, Netherlands, Pakistan, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, and a few from the US. This only serves to underscore K1bo's point that there are no longer any boundaries.....

Your humble host in a cold, windy, wet corner of the U S of A,
ctm

Ike-

I was a poster on this thread in the halcyon days last summer and am still a regular lurker. I trade short and medium term plays.

Last summer I mentioned THQI, I also picked it for the Midas stock picking competition. Q4 earnings were announced today .84 per share. This exceeds analysts expectations by 75%. Another good computer game stock that should report blow out earnings on Thursday is Eidos PLC- adr trades on Nasdaq as EIDSY. This sector is showing strong continued growth.

Samira thank you for your Asian news summary.

Regards,
Andrew

In connection with my previous post note also that first dip below 1748 in the morning session was a fluke as AG was speaking then it went up to 1755 and traded around in that ball park towards the last hour it broke thru 1748 support and just went thru it- now if you go back to my various posts I emphasise on second dip - I always say first dip- no big deal look at the second dip- but keep always an eye on the first dip also if it breaks below and stay there for an hour or so- Locals initiated dips do not have staying power- first dip below 1748 yesterday was on AG speech but second came in as 'Locals' exactly knew when to sell- if this selling would not have come we would see some short covering rally- unfortunately 'recently' turned bulls discovered how treacherous these markets can be and why we should avoid intermediate levels-- You mut have also noticed 320 reversal to 310 on SOX now if on this fourth leg you initiate blind positions you will be whipsawed- in our business we are investing not speculating so levels are to be identified and then entry points - you don't resoect these and one can be crucified on intermediate entries-
I will like 1035 to be maintained on Composite-
I will like 1030 to be maintained we may test 1027 but if we see it second time intraday we go to 1022-
I will loike SOX staying above 308 area-
I will like INTC and TXN stop profit at 897/8 -57 on two closing basis.
With Koreas down Iwould assume should be good for Chips- it is acceptable logic that Korea's woes will be good for US producers.
I will be very busy today some important assignment but keep an eye on these levels. I am satisfied that within a very bullish frame of ewvents we were and are identifying even minor blips so far without looking at fundamnetals. Good trading- I hope we can maintain this calm and no-non sense approach to markets which neither aggressive nor passive it is opportune approach.

I will if 308 is maintaned for aggressive accounts suggest to look at long contracts of 320 April with stop loss at 299.

P.S.-All my trades are hi risk trades an average investor would find in this thread reasons to be long with his core portfolio and clarifications of 'finanacial media half cooked 'stories which even most hard core investors sometime are gullible too. Please don't execute these threads on credit card or margin borrowings.
