Hello John.
I don't think that I need to fill in for Micap but I believe that he is referring to "Steppe and the major"
relation in Kazakhstan rather than majors in Kazakhstan. Majors are those who have very least
amount of participants on threads probably for the very simple reason. Their financial strength and
corporate establishment gives less worry to investors than juniors do. There is no surprise why. Two
juniors has been basically destroyed as investment product by their engagement in K and many
sufferers (is this okay marcos?) are part of this market and living negative billboard to juniors faith in
the country. Major companies cope with problems generally better looking at survival rate.
Everything comes down to market performance. The shareholder/investor needs performance in
order to justify the investment. When performance is not there (no need to question when stock
grows on you) the speculative side kicks in search for reason to stay put and replace the
performance justification for other reasons.
We can only speculate what major company's involvement could do for SPE's performance on the
market. The examples of recent show that not much (SHF& TEK.B),(MIQ&K). Than again none of
those juniors have properties of Steppe's class. None of them are ready to start production within
current year. I wrote about benefits of major in my previous post and I think that would certainly help
the image of Steppe more than Kazakhstan, but it would show as well that there is other "faith" for
juniors in this country, making the smoke disappear for a while.
Personally I believe that Steppe is very good prospect by itself, but John you said it, K&A needs
partner and I won't speak just for myself if I said that would give as the chance for the market
performance or at least better feeling.
Regards
Robert
ps. Are two months up yet? Just kidding. I am hoping for March.
