On the contrary OC, word play is generally the sport of the intelligent... In his many media presentations during the gulf war, George Bush must have taken certain delight in mis-pronouncing Saddam Hussein's name as "sad'-um" rather than the proper "suh-dahm'." From what I understand, the pronunciation he used represented some type of curse or insult in the language of the Iraqis. An interesting note... following the resolution of the conflict, Bush reverted to the proper pronunciation... Second grade?? I think not.
