>NETZ acquired Softbank after a shell merger!

so what? Do you know what they paid for it? Do you know if they paid ANYTHING at all? Maybe just gave them some shares? Does anyone know if the softbank subsidiary was making any PROFIT or just gushing red ink?

I just want to put this 'Softbank is worthless' crap to sleep...

If I recall my DD on this, Softbank Interactive Media (SIM) needed to be separated from Softbank proper. The reason being that SIM would present competition to Softbanks own customers. Thus SIM needed to be sold off, they were by the way moving from break even into profitability (am I right here? please correct me if you have the scoop on this)... By taking control over SIM, NETZ got the means to sell their excellent ad technology into an existing network of customers. The rest is history.
