Anyone who thinks casinos are a legitimate path out of poverty needs a reality check. Whether it's Trump casinos in Atlantic City or tribal casinos on reservations, the house always wins, and the people who can least afford to lose are the ones handing over their money. Exploiting addiction and false hope isn't economic empowerment, it's just another trap. If we're serious about lifting people out of poverty, try education, entrepreneurship, and real investment, not slot machines and roulette tables.
