DNA is how we are constructed, like every living thing.

So, we all have a basic brain, which we can develop way beyond how we normally exist. Sort of an accident of evolution i.e. we didn't need such a big brain.

We have existed with this brain we have, more or less, for a couple of hundred thousand years, living in caves for most of the time.

Then about 15,000 years ago we settled down and started to accumulate and transfer knowledge required to live in long standing communities ie. norms, mores and business.

And gradually we became smarter and smarter, but the three big breakthroughs, IMO, were Gutenberg inventing the printing press in 1450 which resulted in millions of books, then democracy and last categorical public education.

We operated as concrete thinkers, smart, but like all other animals for most of our existence, the big breakthrough was the world turning to mandatory public education which allowed us to start thinking abstractly.

It takes a lot of years of study to learn to think abstractly e.g. understanding existentialism.

That is when we started understanding civil rights, and ended things like slavery, segregation, and sexism and homophobia.

Civilization is build on knowledge and science which spawned humanity.

AI Overview

DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, is a molecule that carries the genetic instructions for all living organisms. It's often described as a blueprint or recipe for building and maintaining an organism, dictating traits and functions. DNA is composed of two long strands that form a double helix, resembling a twisted ladder.
